Mark suffers from a heart condition, specifically an enlarged heart, which means he must avoid overexertion, intense excitement, or anger, as these can trigger seizures. While there is medication available to manage his condition, the family faces severe financial hardship. Only his father provides for the family, working as a construction laborer, and his income is insufficient to cover the costs of pharmacy bills, food, and the education of his three children. Mark’s mother also suffers from heart disease, leaving the family to frequently rely on debt just to afford daily meals and necessary medications. They often face power outages because they cannot afford to pay the electricity bills. We hope that Mark will not lose hope for his future due to his illness and the poverty surrounding his life, and we are reaching out for the support he needs to thrive.
