To get to class, she must cross a river every day; however, whenever it rains, the river floods, making it impossible and dangerous for her to make the journey. Her father works as a stonemason, but his earnings are not enough to support the family. Her mother suffers from an illness that requires consistent medical treatment, adding to their financial burden. Furthermore, because they struggle to pay their monthly rent, they are frequently forced to move, leaving them without a stable home. Since her father works as a daily laborer, the family lives in constant uncertainty, worrying about their survival from day to day.
